Grand Canyon West Rim

You can visit the Grand Canyon West Rim all year around. The weather is very similar to the weather in Las Vegas. It is approximately 10 degrees Fahrenheit warmer in the spring and summer and 10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler in the fall and winter. We recommend the spring and fall months as the temperature is fairly moderate and summer can be very hot.

Death Valley

The best time to visit Death Valley is between October and May, but many visitors come to Death Valley even during the scorching summer months. Everything depends on what you want to do there. Fall is a pleasant time of year, especially with clear skies and less people around. Winter, with its cool days, is the best season to explore the valley and to admire gorgeous snow-capped peaks. Spring is the most popular time to visit Death Valley for viewing spring wildflowers.

Hoover Dam

Visit Hoover Dam anytime of year. Closed only Thanksgiving and Christmas Days, Hoover Dam gets pretty busy during the summer, even when it’s a 110 degrees Fahrenheit on Lake Mead.

Zion National Park & Bryce Canyon National Park

Zion National Park is open all year with a wide range of weather conditions and temperatures that vary depending on elevation. In spring, wet days are common. Summer months are hot with afternoon thunderstorms from July to September. Fall days are and mild with cool nights. Winter in Zion Canyon is also fairly mild with storms bringing rain or light snow to Zion Canyon. Winter storms can last for several days and cause roads to be icy. Be prepared for winter driving conditions from November to March.

Bryce Canyon National Park is also open all year, but the best time to visit is October to May as 60% of visitors come to Bryce Canyon during June to September. In fall and spring, there are fewer people and cooler temperatures. In winter, deep snow blankets the plateau and provides excellent cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities.

Niagara Falls

November through March are the coldest months at Niagara Falls with heavy snowfall during the winter months. Spring and fall can be a bit brisk and summer can get a little humid. Just remember that the falls affect the surrounding climate, so you can get wet even on the sunniest days from the winds blowing the mists from the falls.

Red Rock

Red Rock Canyon averages 294 days of sunshine per year and is the perfect escape from the Las Vegas Strip. Sharing the same temperatures as the rest of Las Vegas, all we recommend is that you bring enough water during the summer and warm outerwear during the winter.
